Brian J. Hansford is Of Counsel at Wilson Smith Cochran Dickerson. He focuses his practice on civil litigation, including defense of extra-contractual insurance matters and personal injury lawsuits, in federal and state courts. Before graduating from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2012, Brian was a high-school Algebra teacher in Houston. Since graduating, Brian has focused his practice on insurance defense, including personal injury defense, extra-contractual matters such as bad faith, IFCA, and CPA claims, general liability, professional malpractice, and insurance coverage issues. Before joining the firm, Brian spent three years defending individuals in personal injury matters as in-house counsel for a national insurer. Brian has significant experience with motions practice, discovery, negotiated settlements, and alternative dispute resolution, including arbitrations. Brian is licensed to practice in state, federal, and tribal courts in Washington.
